AIX Ventures Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains AIX Ventures LLC (“AIX”) practices regarding the collection, use and disclosure of information that AIX receives when an individual (“Visitor”) uses the website at www.aixventures.com (“Site”). This Privacy Policy does not apply to any third-party websites, services or applications, even if they are accessible through this Site.

Revisions to this Privacy Policy

Any information that is collected via AIX’s Site is covered by the Privacy Policy in effect at the time such information is collected. AIX may change and update this Privacy Statement from time to time, including materially changing the use made of personal information described herein.

Collection and Use of Information

Information Collected or Received from Visitors

AIX may collect the following personal information from Visitors when they access the Site:

  • Product usage: links clicked, page load times, page navigation behavior

Information that AIX Shares with Third Parties

AIX Ventures will not disclose, collect, use or share a Visitor’s information to third parties except as described in this Privacy Statement.

Information Shared with AIX’s Services Providers.

AIX may engage third-party services providers to work with it to administer and provide the Site. These third-party services providers have access to data collected on the Site only for the purpose of performing services on AIX’s behalf.

Information Disclosed in Connection with Business Transactions

AIX may disclose information about Visitors to a third party in the event of reorganization, merger, sale, joint venture, assignment, transfer, or other disposition of all or any of AIX’s business, assets, or stock, including in connection with bankruptcy or similar proceedings.

Sharing Aggregate, Anonymized, Deidentified, or Otherwise Non-Personal Data

AIX may share personal data that has been aggregated, deidentified, or otherwise anonymized and thus does not directly or indirectly identify Users and that cannot, with reasonable efforts, resources, and technologies, be used to reidentify any individual User.  Such aggregated, anonymized, deidentified, or otherwise not re-identifiable information does not fall within the scope of this Privacy Policy or applicable privacy laws.

Information Disclosed for AIX’s Protection and the Protection of Others.

AIX cooperates with government and law enforcement officials or private parties to enforce and comply with the law. AIX may disclose any information about Visitors to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as AIX, in its sole discretion, believe necessary or appropriate: (i) to respond to claims, legal process (including subpoenas); (ii) to protect AIX’s property, rights and safety and the property, rights and safety of a third party or the public in general; and (iii) to stop any activity that AIX consider illegal, unethical or legally actionable activity.

The Security of Visitor Information

AIX employs reasonable organizational, technical, and administrative measures to provide a level of security appropriate to the risk associated with the personal data that it collects from Visitors.  AIX protects personal data under its control against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure of or access to, personal information that is transmitted, stored, or otherwise processed.

Our Site may contain links to websites and services that are owned or operated by third parties (each, a “Third-party Service”). Any information that you provide on or to a Third-party Service or that is collected by a Third-party Service is provided directly to the owner or operator of the Third-party Service and is subject to the owner’s or operator’s privacy policy. We are not responsible for the content, privacy or security practices and policies of any Third-party Service. Data Retention

AIX retains information about a visitor’s use of the Site only as long as necessary to accomplish the purposes identified above and to comply with AIX’s legal and contractual obligations. 

Policy Toward Children

This Site is intended to be used by users who are over the age of 13.  AIX does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.  If AIX become aware that a child under the age of 13 has provided us with personal data, AIX will take steps to delete such information.  If a
Visitor becomes aware that a child under the age of 13 has provided us with personal data, they may contact AIX at the email address provided below.

RIGHTS OF CALIFORNIA RESIDENTS

Scope of this Privacy Notice

This privacy notice describes the personal information AIX collects or processs about California residents in connection with its Site, how it use, shares, and protects that personal information, and what Visitor’s rights are concerning personal information that AIX collects or processes.

In this privacy notice, “personal information” has the same meaning as under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California Civil Code Section 1798.83: information that identifies, relates to, describes, is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, with a particular consumer or household. Personal information does not include information that has been de-identified or aggregated.

In the past 12 months, AIX has collected and shared personal information from Visitors in the following circumstances when they interact with AIX Site, as described in detail above:

Except as described in detail above, AIX will not share information about Visitors with third parties without the Visitor’s consent.

AIX does not share Visitor’s personal information with third parties for third party marketing purposes.

Visitor Rights as a California Resident

Under California law, users who are California residents have specific rights regarding their personal information. These rights are subject to certain exceptions described below. When required, AIX will respond to most requests within 45 days unless it is reasonably necessary to extend the response time.

Right to Disclosure of Information

Visitors have the right to request that AIX disclose certain information regarding its practices with respect to personal information. If a Visitor submits a valid and verifiable request and AIX confirms their identity and/or authority to make the request, it will disclose to the Visitor any of the following at their direction:

  • The categories of personal information AIX has collected about them in the last 12 months.

  • The categories of sources for the personal information AIX has collected about them in the last 12 months.

  • AIX’s business or commercial purpose for collecting that personal information.

  • The categories of third parties with whom AIX shares that personal information.

  • The specific pieces of personal information AIX collected about them.

  • If AIX disclosed the Visitor’s personal information to a third party for a business purpose, a list of the personal information types that each category of recipient received.

Right to Delete Personal Information

Visitors have the right to request that AIX delete any of the Visitor’s personal information collected from them and retained, subject to certain exceptions. Upon receiving a verified request to delete a Visitor’s personal information, AIX will do so unless otherwise authorized by law.

AIX will respond to verifiable requests for disclosure or deletion of personal information free of charge, within 10 days of receipt.

In order to protect Visitors’ privacy and the security of their information, AIX verifies consumer requests by validating identity through at least two different channels. Any additional information a Visitor provides will be used only to verify their identity and not for any other purpose.

Visitors may designate an authorized agent to make requests on their behalf. Visitors must provide an authorized agent written permission to submit a request on their behalf, and AIX may require that they verify their identity directly with AIX. Alternatively, an authorized agent that has been provided power of attorney under Probate Code sections 4000-4465 may submit a request on the Visitor’s behalf.

Right to Opt Out of Sales of Personal Information

Visitors have a right to opt-out of the sale of their personal information. They may, at any time, direct businesses that sell their personal information to third parties not to sell their personal information.

AIX does not sell Visitors’ personal information and therefore does not provide any mechanism for Visitors to exercise the right to opt out.

Visitors have the right not to be discriminated against for the exercise of their California privacy rights described above.
